Sir Gary in the photo of the non burned car there appears to be a jump lead from the battery. The battery in this car is not as you know in the engine compartment. Have you ran this hot jump lead down and back to the battery the fire looks as if it is around there to me from photo. Could lead have grounded out somewhere.
