Gotta (RHD 2008) Jeep Wrangler CRD fire - total burnout, with even
the entire dash, steering wheel/column, foot peddles, radiators, battery/fusebox alternator,starter MIA;
engine bay has basically the engine block with the head & gearbox left.

Owner took a video clip with his cellphone of it burning along the roadside
[www.youtube.com] ;
headlights still burning, so electrics were probably still OK as this stage.

Only dealership in this neck of the woods (Chrysler's are not big in Africa)
did repairs to the cam just before the owner picked it up (when is caught alight en route home),
so I can hardly pick their brains.

My question is twofold :
- any of you guys drive these things and know whether the headlights stay on with the ignition off?
- any of you guys know where/whether the fuel pumps (in tank, inline, up front) are electrical/mechanical
and whether which run with the ignition on/engine off.
It runs a 4-cylinder common-rail turbo-diesel.
