Mr. Lentini,

A couple of weeks ago I worked a fire in a rural area where a two and a three year old died. The fire was accidental.

That being said, the Chief expressed much councern about the spalling and cracking of the tile floor in front of the door which was left open during the very intense fire.

I could easily envision a scenario where mom could have been put on trial for the murder of her children based on what this Chief had been taught in the past. Now, he was very receptive to my explaination and I took the time to explain how spalling, in this case, was likely the rapid cooling of the floor by firemen who fought the fire through the front door, but...lets just say I was glad I was there.

I don't pretend to know all of the details, but it sure does sound like it sucks to be Mr. Lee.
