Thank you gentlemen,

I too know Steve Carmen, and have worked with him in the past. He participated in some of the full scale burns for the USFA Fire Patterns Research Project and served as a speaker at the NFPA Fire Science and Technology Educators' Conference on HTA - both of which I had the honor to chair.

My only concern is that the term "Flashover Patterns" is ambigious and often misused. I was concerned that the lecturer on that topic be well versed in what flashover realy is and what it really does. This has not always been the case in the past.

I have great confidence in Steve Carmen's ability and will be looking forward to studying his program and backup research. o we know whether his work will be pubished in any of the standard literature?
