I had one of these and loved it, but some SOB stole it out of my truck. I tried to buy another and found out they have been discontinued. Our company had 3 or 4. The convenience of writing directly to a mini disc was great.

We had some early problems with the Mavica, but found that if we shelled out for the expensive Mavica discs, the problems largely went away. It's 3 or 4 bucks a disc as opposed to 50 cents, but it beats losing the images.

I replaced my Mavica with another Sony, the "Super Steady Shot" DSC-H5. It works just fine.
