I have not seen this screw on new residential breakers what brand type code etc.some older residential breakers had a screw which was sealed so you could tell it was tripped
I can do some research on it and get an answer for you.



on commercail breakers the setting can change the trip time up to 200% on some i have seen it is used for mainly heavy motor loads etc the normal factory setting works most of the time without adjustment.
