Over-Lamping Condition

I trying to inquire how often this condition is found to have caused a fire loss? I know it does. I'm trying to find out the different scenerios in which it occurred.
Can anyone share an experience and the circumstances surrounding the problem associated with the over-lamping condition they found.
Did the over-lamping condition cause a heat problem outside the light fixture, leaving the light fixture and attached light bulbs completely intact and untouched?
Did the branch circuit overheat?
Ceiling or wall fixture?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
