Okay, lets put it another way Pat.......There is more than one view on this subject! Personally I do not think that the subject exists as a scientific phenomenon. However, the point of my research is to examine cases that have been given this label and try to find alternative answers and why certain people make these calls. I do not think it is unreasonable to research this area because it is from the past that we get our present and and future and as such I think it makes an interesting subject for research and demonstrates just how far our trade has gone. We are now involved in a highly technical and specialist field and there are people who are now entering our trade who are being trained by both good and bad instructors and as such it is important that they understand where our trade came from and what we are trying to do for the future. We should encourage discussion, even on a subject like this because it is surprising what other information can come to light. I repeat, I do not think that SHC actually exists but I have researched a few cases and its amazing what other information can come to light. This, in turn, can generate further research and this I fully support. There has been some very bad calls in this area in the past and yes I think SHC has "died" but why should we not discuss the reasons behind why these calls were made? Do we not have something to learn?
Regards.
