Yes he gave him the type of wire plus what was printed on the jacket.

I have customers who like to do there own work and I supervise them they get wires in place etc then I come in and hook up devices to insure it is done properly.and inspect wiring for problems when it was installed.

This seems to work best when some one wants to do a diy and keep it of trouble.

From all the electrical fires I have seen most start from DIY and maintnance types and mill electricians guys who think they know what there doing becuse they can hook up 2 wires in a factory.
these are the most dangerous of the sort.
