You are right, Chris,

I did miss the crazing of glass "Wives' Tale.” We can thank John Lentini, Dave Smith and Richard Henderson for publishing the seminal work in disproving it.

It is also quite telling that this is one of the “Wives’ Tales” that shows up in the U.S. Army manual.
