NFPA 72 sets specific time periods for how long batteries must last when they give a low battery warning signal.

What does the specific item do. standard residential smoke alarms 120 with 9 volt back up when they go into low battery mode must still be able to function for 7days and provide 4 minutes of alarm .8-4.5
