Chris, I have worked several FEMA trailer fires down here. The vast majority were human error, but a few were fires in the front mounted propane tanks. In short the Emergency Disconnect Cable was pulled to lock the brakes in order to keep the trailer from rolling away while it was leveled during set up.
If they failed to replace the disconnect cable after being connected to external power, the plastic "emergency disconnect brake" cover would heat up over time and could ignite. It is right under the propane tanks which were usually covered by a large plastic cover. You know the rest of the story.
Was this addressed? If not, have you ever heard of this happening or is it primarily something to do with the FEMA trailers?
