We are soliciting information or ideas regarding the wording in our origin and cause reports for fires. The campfire discussion regards the level of certainty of the fire investigator in respect to their expert opinion. I am open for any suggestions or recommendations on the proper wording...

The residential structure fire on April 10, 2017 at 1122 Main St, Somewhere, Fl 33428 was classified as accidental. The analysis of the fire intensity and movement patterns indicated that the area of fire origin was the exterior southwest corner of the structure. The probable cause of the fire was determined to be a failure with the LPG tank connected to the BBQ grill.

Where are others documenting the level of certainty?

Thanking you in advance
