The tests done at Berkeley compared 15 differnet products including
redwood, no one has tested dried weather checked pine. I do not think
pine would drip and form pool fires. The orginal works done in the early 1990s
at the University of Wisconsin documented a Heat Release Rate four to five times
that of wood, on some of the synthetic products.
