Darle,
I have been conducting fire investigations in Georgia for 20 years both on the public and private side and I am unaware of a private K9 handler in Georgia. My personal experience has been that a private fire investigator will utilize the public K9 whenever possible and public K9 handlers are very willing to assist. I understand your frustration from a business perspective but here in Georgia it would probably be no different than what you just experienced.
