Yup, but take in account, this was not a structured, sequential, incremental set of tests
(all conducted during our highest Covid19-lockdown conditions; i.e. stuck at home, no access to hardware stores etc.;
but then our Covid19-death rate is currently < 500 for a population a fifth of yours, so I'm told it was worth it...).
I had genuinely expected to get ignition straight up on the 8" Al-pot on the first try;
the different oils/-depths depths, different-sized pots where ongoing developments
as I became more & more desperate.
The dough in the pot was a last-ditch attempt which, since my homemade test rig is now toast, I didn't get to explore further.
Even then, it only took on the 6" SS-pot (I had added dough to the 6" Al-pot at the same time/rig).
