Doug, you are right on point.The attorneys have learned, based on different court rulings, that the courts are keying in on the methodology and not if the conclusion are right or wrong. By asking those specific question they are guiding the witness to give information that can be used in a motion to exclude the testimony. This is one of the reasons I do not like saying I followed a specific set of steps. I will normally answer the question as to me following the scientific method that I followed the concept of the scientific method. It is hard for the attorney to lead me into a yes or no questioning session. Not saying it always works but for the most part the judge will allow me to explain my concept if the attorney cuts me off.
