I know but got no answers. Was hoping someone came up with something. I have tried a few experiments and have not been able to get the condition with the freezing of the water to take place. I can say through my experiments I have learned that an over pressurization of the water in the pipe cannot cause a failure.
My company is working with an engineering company to conduct test and publish a paper on the freezing issue.
