I am sorry for not responding to this before but by the time I got back from teaching Claudes PP I was covered up in work. Claude helped build this PP every step of the way. I got Claudes PSA on Friday and then flew out to AL Sunday morning at 4am when I landed I had a text from Claudes daughter letting me know that Claude had passed away. The Power Point titeled The State of Tennessee vs. Claude Garrett how the failure to properly invesigate a fire inprisoned a man for 30 years of his life. The incredable story of what happened and why was well received and got good reviews as well as getting prople talking which is what Claude wanted them to do. He wanted them to see what happened to him and make sure they didnt repeat this mistake. We wanted him to come in person and talk about it but Claude had got a new job so it didnt work out. You could tell that alot of the students in the class with 98% being public were shaking their heads in disbelife. The big take away here is that if your going to offer an opinion as to the cause of a fire you should make dam sure you first even know what your talking about. So we taught the class on Nov 2nd and added a slide at the end that read In the early moring hours of Oct 30th 2022 Claude was reunited with Lorie after 30 years apart and their spirts returned to the house at 114 Broadway St in Old Hickory Tn to pick up where they were interrupted so many years ago. I think it shocked them a little as it shocked us when we heard the news.
