Ford has announced a 4th recall related to the Speed Control Deactivation Switch (SCDS).

Here are links to the 4 defect reports sent to NHTSA.

1. Recall 99V-124 announced May 13, 1999

[199.79.180.162]

2. Recall 05V-017 announced January 27, 2005

[199.79.180.162]

3. Recall 05V-388 announced September 7, 2005

[199.79.180.162]

4. Recall 06V-286 announced July 27, 2006

[199.79.180.162]

IMHO anyone who owns any Ford with speed control (even one not covered by a recall) would be well advised not to park it in their garage until steps have been taken to resolve the issue. For the record, I love my Ford, and have driven only Ford products for the last decade. But I don't park it in the garage.
