What the manufacturer says in a depo may not be what they meant when they said store in a cool dry area. If the temperature averages 95, then some days it might be quite a bit warmer than that.
The really big cal hypo fires tend to happen in the south in the summer. If the mfr admitted that the safe storage temperature was really "not to exceed 90 degrees," they might not be able to sell product in their largest markets, which tend to be in the south in the summer.
It seems they might be getting the message, finally. It's hard to find the high test stuff in stores frequented by regular folks these days. They are cutting the cal hypo with mag sulfate, making it much less dangerous.
