Back in the day when I was working 100 or more suspicious fires annually, I would occasionally encounter evidence of a gasoline fueled explosion. They were not common, but they happened occasionally. In cases where I found gasoline, but there was no evidence of an explosion, one of the cross-examination questions I got from the lawyers on the other side was "If there was so much gasoline, why did it NOT explode?
