One issue was originally only Olympus had the dust free CCD but I believe most of them have them now. Also, on the Minolta lenses, isn't there an issue with the focal plane between the 35mm and digital lenses. I have expensive Minolta flashes and they won't sync with the Sony correctly. But, with the kits from all the brands, decent lenses are inexpensive. I still opt for a good flash unit that will operate on and off the camera as needed. It has been money well spent whether with my Olympus', Minolta and others.
