Mr Hayden:
The poster's account is per "contractual relationship" which clearly states "Limitations
The abuse of our mail servers or of the service for the purpose of sending unsolicited junk mail, or for any fraudulent or criminal activity, will invalidate all privacy guarantees for the account(s) concerned."
Using a false identity to post maliciously libelous statements is considered fraud" and the IT department is in the process of handling this issue.
Additionally, there may very well be additional legal issues involved including restraint of trade, and interferring with business practices, all of which are actionable.
I got the feeling that it is more likely this person's account will be terminated. They are still considering the release of the account information. What is really funny is that while youcan sign up with an anonymous name and such, the account holder HAS TO USE A CREDIT CARD, so their name and full information is on file with the company. Way to go you! Like I said, there is no true way to be anonymous in today's computer society.
