John, first and foremost I have not read the FM through and through. My comment was made based upon what I read on this forum. There is no excuse to present any type of manual or reference material with incorrect information. My comment was merely the US Military presents many training manuals with the "KISS" principle. (KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID) By doing this the potential of presenting incorrect or incomplete information is greatly increased, especially regarding a complex subject such as fire investigations.
