A deep fryer unit was using a propane burner to heat oil.

Some distance upstream from the burner, the pipe supplying the propane was completely severed.

The burner now has no ongoing supply of propane and presumably a rapid loss of pressure.

Is there a reasonable scenario/s where the residual propane from the pipe downstream from the severance could still be flaming at the burner for a short time after the pipe was severed?
