I did not say you were intentionally misleading. I said the application of the data you presented is unreliable to the circumstances that were put fourth. Your basic qualitative understanding of this principle is correct, but your application of this to gasoline on a bed sheet is not "substantially similar" to the conditions in the testing that produced the data.Thus, it is scientifically unreliable. As a profession, as opposed to a business, the professional community should be striving and working towards more reliable determination and opinions.

Also. your results were presented to three significant digits without any consideration of uncertainty in the measurement of time. An uncertainly of plus or minus 20 to 30 seconds does not allow for such accuracy to three significant digits.

"I was trying to convey that with gas if it is poured out on a hard surface and not confined but allowed to spread out and ignited the fire that it will produce will be done and over with in 2 mins of less." A bedspread is not a smooth and non-absorbent surface, so what is it your trying to convey?
