Would the consumption of a suspected liquid accelerant such diesel or kerosene inside a residential structure with a limited oxygen supply, leave a deposit of an oil type residue on floor and/or other surfaces in rooms with no ignition or fire spread?
The residue was primarily found deposited on laminate and linoleum floor coverings.
In this particular incident, the responding firefighters found the fire contained to the interior of the structure, with no flames showing. During their interior attack, they found limited amount of flames, intense heat and smoke. They also used both a positive pressure fan and horizontal and vertical ventilation during extinguishment.
