Insured's electricity was cut off at the time due to municipal arrears;
house was candle-lit at the time of the fire (as per the Insured, her guest, neighbours
as well as the 8 year-old daughter (who admitted playing with a candle in the cupboard, where the fire was first discovered).
Insurer claims the electricity had been illegally reconnected, causing the fire
(this despite the meter box & DB all being scavenged before their "FI" got on site).
