At the Radio Station I maintain we had a strike come down a tower blow thru the sparkgaps hit the underground grid go 285 ft up the grid and where gas pipe and grid wires were close it blew a hole in the gas line.
just this week we had a customer get hit on street it traveled into 5 retail buildings taking out multiple electronic devices sparks where actually observed traveling along conduits etc. 3 employees got knocked to the ground and one recived a bad shock on the phone. the engineers arecomming in this week to try and figure out what happened this is a very weird hit none of the surge supression shows anything came near it ithad to travel in thru the foundation and ground wires.
