My 6yr old daughter died in her room in a mattress fire 2 months ago.We suspected candle fire. She died without any screams or noise from her but we were awakened by her 10 year old playmate who was also in the same room with my daughter Daisy. The questions are:
Is it possible for a candle fire on a mattress/mattresses to asphyxiate someone, thereby for the person to be burnt without any pain or regaining consciousness?
If possible, what factors can make one asphyxiated and another unharmed, awake and alert?
Thank you.
