John,

I am not sure if this is a residential or commercial application or what code your jurisdication follows. I am not in the office so I do not have access to all of our codes, but if it not listed, this maybe something the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) should be able to assist you with if you do not have any luck. I would imagine there are specific nail lengths and installaion guidelines that the manufacturer reccomends.

We deal with inferior workmanship constantly in our office, this is of no suprise!
