I agree majority of the training originates at the public sector. If it were not for this training many in the private sector would have little to no continuing education. I must say the advancement in our profession has come about because of the efforts of a limited few in both the private and public sector. As there are cut back in funding of the public sector and the larger companies in the private sector looking at their bottom line continuing education will be what suffers.
I liked where the prosecutor said they were there for justice and not just convictions. Wish more would understand the meaning of those words. What is unfortunate is those that want to place a stigma on any person working for the other side, such as an expert working for a insured in a civil case. I find where investigators, and those that employee them take the fact that a person taking the case for the other side as a personal attack on them.
I agree, as we learn we share the knowledge with others. As the knowledge is improved, the number of errors is reduced.
