I share your concern. I believe I understand your point. An error rate of 5% adds up to huge numbers in potential errors. With "Folks who attend seminars" feeling the error rate is at least 20% according to Mr. Lentini's unscientific poll. And having 51% as a goal we are setting ourselves up for inconsistent accuracy. I am well aware of how fire investigation has evolved since the existence of 921. But to think we have to continue to wait to imporve the error rate for Myth Believers to retire or die seems sad. I'm not trying to be critical. The truth of what the potential error rate MAY be coming from someone who has had as much or more to do with the advances in fire investigation as anyone is still threatening. Jim the answer to your question is NO its not acceptable.
