Gentlemen,
Thanks for the posts. I apologize in advance, I do not want to comment on the specific details of the fire scene investigation as it is an open criminal case. I know the question is without context, but I was primarily "fishing" to see if anyone had any research on such a topic.
When initially thinking about this issue, I was unsure as to whether the oils/chicken fat/etc. in the various brands of food would support an open flame. Maybe this will be a brand specific issue.
When and if I get time to pursue some test burns and gather possible HRR data, I will certanly keep the forum informed.
