I write a paragraph of as many sentences as needed to show the origin what was in the area of origin, what I decided was not relevant to the cause, Avoiding Negative Corpus, what was relevant to the cause such as unattended cooking. I did not classify it as accidental but unattended cooking. Was the unattended part on purpose or did they really fall asleep, forgot about food on the stove when they went to the store for thirty min, fell asleep on the couch, went out to talk to neighbor, etc... That scenario is being used here where I work. They have found it is easy to put some grease/oil in a pot/pan and walk away a get a new kitchen or new house. So if I go through the origin and cause and rule it accidental its hard to go back and change that ruling. So if I leave it as unattended cooking I can still do some background investigation and interviewing to see if I need to use any other forms of Investigation I have available. What you Think?
