I hope you are in error as far as the IAAI requiring a CFI to use CFI trainer programs or they cannot recertify. My agency, as of the last time I checked, will not give me credit for those programs as training hours. Since I cannot use those for my 40 hour LEO recert hours it is really not productive for me to use CFI trainer when there are so many other programs I can attend that will give me credit towards my yearly LEO recert hours. Now I am sure you did read what you say, I just hope someone can step forward and clarify the point. That would be allot like NAFI saying we have to attend specific NAFI courses within the five year recert period and to my knowledge NAFI doesn't require that. Maybe Bobby can clarify this. Such a requirement would really be upsetting, to me anyway. It is basically forcing someone to use training which they may not even have the resources to use, (i.e. a computer. Don’t laugh there are many that still don’t use or have a computer) or may not feel the content of the training is worthwhile or a whole host of other reasons. I am not suggesting that the training isn’t of good quality and peer reviewed, its simply the idea of forcing someone to use it under threat of loosing their certification.
