Hello,
In 921, 19.2.1.4 states, " Whenever the cause cannot be proven to an acceptable level of certanty, the proper classification is undetermined."
This tells me that in a report to your client or your superior officer one should be listing the causes (accidental, natural, or incendiary) that you can't rule out and reasons why. If that does not appease, show them that in 921 it states, " 921, 19.2.1.4 states, " Whenever the cause cannot be proven to an acceptable level of certanty................."
However you classify your fire cause it must be supported by your (physical and/or circumstantial) evidence. The evidence or lack of it will support your cause determination.
