I have not seen the above article previously, but I had a few chuckles reading it today. These two undoubtedly fine gentleman must be quite talented in ways of fire science that I've not yet mastered.
In the recent past, I have also heard this type of argument made by various managers suggesting that, "If we're paying you to go to more and more training each year, why is it you have a harder time coming to a conclusion as to the cause of fires?" As Bart Simpson might say, "DUH Man!!!"
I totally agree with John... In this field, the more you learn, the more you realize how little you really know.
