Jim,

The reaction was strong all around. I actually had a couple of well respected, seasoned investigators talk to him after the presentation and begin crying while thanking him for sticking it out like that. Many thanked him for his courage to talk about it. Most didn't particularly like the kid but understood that he was now doing the right thing and a few kinda yelled at him and publicly degraded him. He took it like a man.

Is he a maggot or a hero?

I say probably both.

I guarantee you whether you wanted to thank him or spit on him, everyone walked away with a new understanding of how this can happen.
