No. To me and the National Association of fire investigators and many state and federal appeals courts it is clearly and unequivocally the “standard of care” in our industry. You can call it a greasy doorknob if you want, but calling it a guide, standard, paradigm, model, model, or greasy doorknob rather than standard of care is not a definition of its impact. It is more merely a ploy and maneuver by the ill-trained, un-trained, unethical, unscientific, unqualified, misinformed, argumentative, quarrelsome, or incompetent to not be held to any set standard at all.
Let’s do fire investigation by Ouija board or dousing. What’s science got to do with it?
The purpose of 921 is to guide the ill-trained, un-trained, unethical, unscientific, unqualified, misinformed, argumentative, quarrelsome, or incompetent. Those who will not be guided will have to watch out for the “921 death squads,” fully supported by the appellate courts.
Before you ask, I rate you among the argumentative, please prove me wrong.
