Pat,
Thank you for your additional invitation for the 2012 IFSI.
We currently have a paper on this topic that was submitted to a peer-reviewed journal, and submission of that paper to the 2012 IFSI would affect our ability to publish in a peer-reviewed journal.
The 2012 deadline would not allow us sufficient time to put together a second paper.
We (CSE) submitted a paper twice to the 2012 IFSI on the electrical work that we conducted for NIJ and have not received any notification about its status. Perhaps, you could provide notification of the status of that submission if you have open presentation slots in 2012.
Any presentation at IFSI 2012 will not be significantly different then the presentation that we did in 6 years ago at the 2006 IFSI on the same subject. It was our intent to obtain a plenary spot to present to a much larger audience.
Thus, we will accept your previous invitation of a presentation on this topic for a plenary session in the IFSI 2014 and respectively decline your invitation to present on this subject in 2012 for the reasons stated above.
