As I misspelled his last name I apologize in typing I dropped the “e”. So what you are saying is that this person took the one week course and past the exam but has only been involved in fire litigation, never has conducted a scene examination, never had to evaluate data present at the scene, has never been required to be qualified as an expert but because he is an attorney with approximately 500 previous fire litigation cases he is qualified to be a Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator. Do you not see a problem?

Pat, my facts were straight in that the comment he made to the court surly professed his opinion of the CFEI certification program and the quality of the certification. I was not putting down how the certification is obtained, it was the attorney. Can you not see he is the one bashing, not me? If I did not think it was worthwhile I would not continue to maintain my certification. If he is under the perception and he is relating to others his perception that he believes this is a bought and paid for type certification then maybe persons like him should have some other type certification that does not equate to the ones earned through hard work by the investigators.

By the way he did not only put NAFI's program down but the one for the IAAI by saying it was only for arson investigators and had nothing to do with accidental fires. For them he harped on the name of the orginization.
