As the refrigerator cools, the net pressure on the door would increase by about 0.5 psi for each 10 degree Celcius drop in average tempprature if the seal were hermetic. A typical refrigerator door has a surface area greater than 1000 square inches so the net force on the door would be in excess of 500 lbs. Opening the door would thus require a net pull of over 250 lbs for each 10 degree drop in temperature.
