I just completed the module on 1033 and 921 updates. It was well done and informative. Where I go to the NFPA site to keep up with these documents, I found the explanations let me give me covered areas that I missed and just trying to read the changes. They also put these changes into context. I know that was a lot to cover, but I wish they extended the time explaining 1033 and who is responsible to set the exact level of knowledge and ability of the requirements. Who is responsible for testing the investigator to ensure the person has the level of knowledge and ability to meet the requirements.

NFPA has a term it uses for all its document when something is not covered. They state the code, standard, or other document is silent on the subject. I think it is time for the committee to take the bull by the horns and answer these questions.
