I can understand the BATF being unwilling to share ongoing case work, but what happens when the case gets to the discovery stage? At that point everything is on the table, so why can't "we" see it as well, surely there is no reason to keep hiding knowledge when it is entering the public domain.
It would be interesting to hear from someone inside who can speak to this.
