In rethinking this, I am inclined to agree with Pat and others. But, there has to be some decorum and, preferably, self-imposed. There are libel and slander laws that may come in to play should you offend too egregiously but that is the chance you take. This is a two-way stree: do we allow swearing? If not, why not? We allow the little icon giving the bird and we all know what that means..... Then, of course, there are people that you think are goofs personality-wise, but very smart otherwise and, on the converse, there are those we like personally but come out of left-field with their ideas. Which one do you attack??? Some of us, myself at times, do not readily recognize all forms of sarcasm and tongue-in-cheek humor. What to do, what to do.... If you really believe in not being "bannable", then don't comment that way and, perhaps, others will cease to do so as well. Lead by example.................
