True without additional thermal energy. The self-heating process may provide this additional thermal energy,
If the 80 degree C air inside the void space can exposure the internal wood surfaces and start self-heating of the wood, this is an exothermic process that would then add thermal energy to the air and increase the temperature, This would then increase the rate of the exothermic reaction of the wood and so one and so fourth ,,, This is the self heating process. The void space traps a finite amount of air that can be heated and increase the exposure temperature of air exposing the wood where the exothermic reaction is taking place
