John, you are correct however it is not taught to where there is a general knowledge. Most studies deal with piping, such as the one you cite. Few mention that the same conditions can be experienced in portable tanks. I understand there was a study conducted on 500 gallon propane tanks but I cannot find where it is published.Where 921 dose mention this condition it does not stress that the investigator needs to learn the history of the tank as part of an investigation into the lack of oder being detected.Maybe a step by step guidance in 932 would be good information for the investigator.
