Just to confuse the issue on transient calculations. Most of the equations were formulated to be non-transient. For use in "fire modeling" the application implements a "quasi-steady state" approximation where equilibrium conditions are assumed for relatively large time-steps. This allows a steady-state equation to be used in a transient calculation. So you can calculate a steady-sate and transient error rate.
